Youth Boss Neil Vatcher Planning Ahead for U21 Events

After two weeks of successful British Under 21 events, which includes an Under 21 semi final at Kent, a British Youth Pairs Championship, round 1 of the Mitas British Youth Championship held at Glasgow and of course the very successful Under 21 British Final at Sheffield British Youth boss Neil Vatcher is now planning ahead. In the FIM World Under 21 Semi Finals, we have 4 riders competing over the weekend of 20th and 21st May, and then in early June the Semi Final of the Under 21 World Team Cup in Holsted Denmark, where Great Britain will be competing against the host nation and also Australia and Norway.

Vatcher said, “this is a very exciting time to be involved in British Youth Speedway, and we are not too far away from having success on the big stage”.

“We have a great opportunity of getting more than one representative in this years FIM World under 21 finals, where we have Josh Bates, Robert Lambert, Adam Ellis and Max Clegg competing in the Semi Finals in May, then on the 4th June we travel to Denmark to compete in a Semi Final of the under 21 World Team cup, and if all our boys are on their game there is no reason why we can not qualify for our first final since 2007”.

“If any companies would like to be associated with the Young Lions then we are looking  for tyre sponsorship for the 4 British riders for their individual Semi Finals in May, and we also need companies to come forward to hep the Great Britain team to get team suits for the World Team Cup Semi Final.

We have some great sponsors on board for the British Youth Championship, and we also have great support from the BSPA, but now we need some support for the Under 21 riders, and any body that can offer help would be very much appreciated”.
